MG Tomahawk EV Pre-Booking Opens in Nepal, Price Expected Below Rs. 65 Lakh

JSW MG Motor Nepal, under GO Auto, has opened pre-bookings for the MG Hector Tomahawk EV, which is set to make its way to the Nepalese market soon. The company is yet to announce the final Nepal-specification, variant lineup and official pricing.

The Tomahawk EV is MG’s new electric SUV and is offered in India in both five- and seven-seat configurations. It combines a large battery pack with a range of technology, comfort and safety features, positioning it as a family-oriented electric SUV.

The MG Tomahawk EV price in Nepal is expected to be below Rs. 65 lakh. The exact price will depend on the variant and equipment offered by JSW MG Motor Nepal. In India, the Hector Tomahawk EV is priced from INR 19.49 lakh, with prices going up to INR 23.50 lakh depending on the variant and seating configuration.

The Nepal-spec model could receive a different variant structure and equipment list, with feature availability also varying depending on the variant offered in Nepal.

The Tomahawk EV comes with a 69.2 kWh LFP battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kW and 310 Nm of torque. MG claims a MIDC range of 517 km, while the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.2 seconds.

Charging support includes up to 90 kW DC fast charging. MG claims the battery can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in around 35 minutes using a compatible DC charger. With a 7.4 kW AC charger, a 10 to 100 percent charge takes approximately 12.5 hours.

The MG Tomahawk EV measures 4,745 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,770 mm in height, with a 2,810 mm wheelbase and 230 mm of ground clearance. In India, the SUV is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations.

The seven-seat version offers 192 litres of luggage space with all three rows in use, increasing to 528 litres when the third row is folded. The five-seat version provides 610 litres of luggage capacity.

The Tomahawk EV gets a distinctive front-end design with LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, an illuminated MG badge, 18-inch alloy wheels and a powered tailgate. Inside, it features a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8.8-inch digital driver's display.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging and MG's i-SMART connected technology are also available. Depending on the variant, the SUV can also get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, a 10-speaker Infinity sound system, rear window sunshades and a memory function for the driver's seat.

MG has also included different cabin modes such as Nap, Camp, Energise, Pro Pet, Valet and Quiet, designed around different usage scenarios.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, a 360-degree camera and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems. The Tomahawk EV also supports Vehicle-to-Load, Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Home functions, allowing its battery to be used for purposes beyond powering the vehicle.

With pre-bookings now open, the MG Tomahawk EV is expected to arrive in Nepal soon. The final Nepal price, variant lineup, seating configuration and equipment list are yet to be confirmed, although the model is expected to be priced below Rs. 65 lakh.
